Woman with book in retro dress and ghost in the mirrorTriskaidekaphilia

It’s a mouthful and you wouldn’t want to try and say it three times fast, but Triskaidekaphilia is also the name of our brand new anthology series.

Triskaidekaphilia means an obsession with, or love of, the number thirteen, and this anthology series is filled with 13s. There are going to be thirteen volumes. What’s more, because this series is going to explore the more shadowy corners of romance and erotica, we’re also going to release each one of them on a Friday the 13th.

The first book in the series, edited by Laura Harvey, is all about urban legends. Laura will be looking for romantic or erotic takes on your favourite urban legends. Bloody Mary. The vanishing hitchhiker. The clown statue. Aren’t you glad you didn’t turn on the lights? All of ’em.

Detailed submission guidelines are available on our Call for Submissions page but the short version is:

• Stories between 3,000 – 15,000 words long
• Reprints accepted but not preferred. When submitting a reprint include information about its original publication in your submission email
• Open to all pairings and multiple partners (m/f, m/m, f/f, m/m/f, etc.)
• Any heat level
• Any setting or sub-genre is welcome (historical, paranormal, steampunk, contemporary, etc.)

The romance needs to be key to the story and the stories must have a happily ever after (HEA) or happy for now (HFN) ending.

Payment: $10 USD and a paperback copy of the anthology in exchange for the non-exclusive right to include the story in the both the print and electronic versions of the anthology.

Open submission period: June 1, 2016 – July 31, 2016

Expected publication date: January 13, 2017

But wait! There’s more!

This urban legends anthology doesn’t have a title. Laura and I wracked our brains but we just didn’t come up with one that we fell in love with, and that’s where you come in. We’d love to hear your title suggestions! Please leave them as a comment to this blog post and if we use yours we’ll send you a free copy of the anthology when it comes out 🙂
