It\u2019s also the basis for the entire slasher movie genre as far as I\u2019m concerned, so I saw this as an opportunity to play in that sandbox. I chose that one because I think it\u2019s one of the lesser known ones outside of Africa, and because I felt it could easily be the basis for a good love story with the mysterious Pinky Pinky being a misunderstood humanoid creature rather than a terrifying monster or deamon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″][et_pb_text admin_label=”T.R. North” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]<\/p>\n December 15, 2017<\/p>\n Sneak Peek Behind “Vanishing Point” by T.R. North<\/a><\/p>\n I was intrigued by the challenge of making the inherently tragic nature of the legend\u2013the hitchhiker is almost always revealed to be a lost ghost at the end of the story\u2013work in a romantic setting with a happy, hopeful finale.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”HR 30%” global_module=”3593″ background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” saved_tabs=”all”]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Wendy” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]<\/p>\n January 5, 2017<\/p>\n Sneak Peek at “She Wore White” by Wendy Sparrow<\/a><\/p>\n In my story, a woman in white lures men, who stop to help her, out of their cars and they\u2019re never seen again. I picked it because I liked the eeriness. Not all of us might end up in a bathtub in Vegas, missing a kidney, but that flash of white on a lonely stretch of highway that we see in our periphery\u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label=”Row”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_testimonial admin_label=”Testimonial” author=”Randi Perrin” job_title=”Author” company_name=”Virtue of Death” url=”https:\/\/randiperrin.wordpress.com\/2017\/01\/02\/book-review-legendary\/” url_new_window=”on” quote_icon=”on” use_background_color=”on” background_color=”#f5f5f5″ background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]<\/p>\n It\u2019s so hard for me to pick just one. Might want to think twice about that hitchhiker too\u2014or not.
