A mortal\u2019s kiss and her insistence on taking the place of his year\u2019s sacrifice stalled out everything. Now, Tempus has to keep her alive for a year so his sacrifice isn\u2019t wasted, but that\u2019s the only reason\u2014definitely.<\/p>\n One of these crazy grim reapers stole Lacey Carpenter\u2019s estranged father\u2019s life two years ago.
